You will need;
-Rhodochrosite crystal
-Somewhere quiet to sit undisturbed
-A full moon
Make yourself comfortable lying on the floor. Breathe full and deep, for a moment holding your toes and feet tense, then relaxing them. Breathe in, tensing your calves, exhaling, letting them relax. Breathe in, tensing the thighs and knees, exhaling and relaxing. Inhale, tensing the buttocks exhaling and relaxing. Breathe in, tensing and holding the torso and lower back tight and exhaling to relax. Inhale, keeping the chest tight and upper back, exhaling to let go. Breathe in, tensing the shoulders, arms and hands for a few moments, then exhale and let go. Breathe in, holding tension in the neck and exhaling to let it go, feeling your neck and the rest of your body relax. Breathe in, tightening the face and scalp, then exhale and allow them to relax. Breathe full and deep, allowing your body to feel completely relaxed and to sink into the floor.
Imagine yourself in an open clearing, a forest surrounding the area. This is a safe and peaceful space.
A full moon shines above you, illuminating the field and everything around you. The air is still and warm and you can hear the night life. In front of you at the centre of the clearing is a slab of pink stone. It has ribbons of pale pink and darker pink, different tones that come upon each other in waves. Around it is a garden of wild snowbells, their dropping white flowers delicate and small. You can touch these flowers, the long deep green leaves of the bulb, the long stem from which the flowers hang. It is a serene space. As you touch the flowers, there is an emotion that greets you. What is this feeling? It is you message from the moon, letting you know what you are here to learn and absorb during this moon bath.
You step forward onto the slab of stone, barefoot, and feel your toes and soles on the smooth polished surface. Under the moonlight, the soft pink waves against the darker pink waves seem to shine and glow. You take a seat or lie down, the moon seeming to shine down just over you in a wide beam that focuses itself on you and the slab of stone.
As you sit on the stone, breathe full and deep. The pink stone beneath you feels warm and you can feel a tingle and feel the slab start to warm. It is the crystal connecting with you, it surrounds you in its profound loving and nurturing energy. It is soothing and fills you with a feeling of compassion for yourself and all things. It fills your heart with a feeling of love. Take a few moments here to breathe through this and feel these emotions.
When you are ready, look up the moon. The glow seems a little brighter and you can see all of the shades and shapes in the surface of the moon. As you gaze, you feel something in your left hand. What is it? How does it make you feel? What memories does it trigger? If any emotions or memories surface for you here, just breathe them and acknowledge them. Don’t engage. Just be aware. There is something in your right now as well, what is it? And how does it make you feel?
The object in your left is what you have gained and learned in matters of the heart, relationships of all kinds. The object in your right hand represents what you have to offer and give in life and in relationships. Take a moment to ask yourself are they in equal proportion? Do you give more than you take? Or do you take more than you give? Whatever you feel the response here, is just an observation. An awareness. There is no judgement, no reaction. Just knowledge. Here there is only compassion.
Stay a few moments here reflecting on how these objects apply to you and your life. Is there somewhere in life you could give me, or give differently? Do you need to give less? Reflect the same for how you receive.
When you are ready, take a snowbell flower from a plant and place it on the centre of the stone slab. Observe the colours and patterns of stone, how the colours play against each other. The delicate small flower glows under the light of the full moon and the light expands, growing bigger until it surrounds you. Allow this white light to wash over you and fill you, from the blossom before you and the moon above you. You are safe and protected. At the centre of the light is you.
How much love do you give yourself? Does it flow through you, expanding out through this white light? Reaching out to the flower and the moon? How do you show love for yourself?
There is only compassion and awareness here. Be at peace with what you feel. Observe and acknowledge it, and let it go. The white light fades and you see the little white blossom in front of you has changed to stone, with the same pink waves of colour as the stone you sit upon. This is your gift to take with you. Pick it up and hold it in your hands, and while you sit under the moon in the warm night air, make an affirmation of how you would like to give and receive love for yourself or others. The moon shines its light over you and the stone flower, charging you, the flower and the intention with its energy.
When you feel ready, stand and give thanks to the moon for its assistance with helping you. Breathe full and deep, slowly and gently becoming aware of your body against the floor, the weight of your heels and legs sinking into the floor. Notice the feel of your back and shoulders resting against the floor, relaxed and comfortable. Feel the back of your head against the floor, your whole body warm and relaxed. Slowly become aware of the noises in the room around you, wriggle your fingers and toes and when you’re ready open your eyes.
